Bill Hero for Gas
We're delighted to announce that starting today Bill Hero can monitor both electricity and gas energy bills, and make sure that you always stay on the best-priced plans.
Since launching Bill Hero for electricity, we've continually been asked when we'll extend the Bill Hero service to include gas.
Well, we're delighted to announce that starting today Bill Hero can monitor both electricity and gas energy bills, and make sure that you always stay on the best-priced plans.
How Does It Work?
Just like electricity, a Bill Hero gas subscription means that Bill Hero will analyse every gas bill you receive, and calculate what you would have been charged for the same MJ consumption over the same time period under all the alternative gas plans available to you in your area.
Then we'll rank them by price, making it easy to see where your bill sits among all the competition.
We offer a savings guarantee for gas subscriptions, and you can also set your Bothered Threshold just like you can for electricity.
We're offering the Bill Hero service for gas as an optional and separate subscription alongside electricity, rather than focusing on comparing so-called 'dual fuel' offers.
Why? We've found that buying your electricity and gas separately is almost always cheaper than buying one of the so-called 'dual fuel' energy offers that some retailers promote.
What Does It Cost?
A Bill Hero Gas subscription costs $49 per year. We're offering a bundle discount to new subscribers, who can buy an electricity + gas subscription together at a discounted rate of $79 per year.
Adding Gas to your Existing Electricity subscription
We can update your electricity-only subscription to become an electricity + gas bundle subscription as follows:
First, we'll cancel and refund the remaining pro-rated balance in your original electricity-only subscription.
Then we'll set up a new electricity + gas bundle subscription for you, including initiating a new subscription payment from your existing card account
Bill Hero team can do this for you via the back-end system, so there's no need for you to re-register or resubscribe.
